Enneagram 3, Pisces: I identify mostly with the creativity and imaginative side of Pisces as well as being very adaptable and intuitive.
I like to think my journey as a florist began when I was a young girl in Michigan. I grew up surrounded by flowers and from a young age told everyone that I wanted to be a florist one day when I grew up.
Fast forward to my sophomore year of college (after an unsuccessful attempt at becoming a nurse-lol) I started to pursue this dream head-on. I attended the Tallulah Rose Flower school in Bath, England and I have been "flowering" ever since.
I love all aspects of floral design- from large corporate events to weddings and everything in between! Over the years this little business I started in my college apartment has grown to become more than I ever imagined. I have learned to love leading teams and I have found so much joy in teaching others about flowers and the industry. I am constantly impressed by the drive and passion that my team brings to the studio every day and I can't wait to see how much we grow in the coming years. I truly feel so lucky to lead Team Florista.

Enneagram 4, Libra: driven by harmony, aesthetic, and authenticity
I have always seen life through an artistic lens. My long-standing passion for design was rivaled only by my love of the natural world. But when I discovered the path to floristry, I knew I'd found my calling.
My journey with flowers began obsessively, by studying floral design books, deconstructing and rearranging Trader Joe’s bouquets and foraged wildflowers. Since then, I have seen many sides of the floral industry from delivering flowers to merchandising a storefront, but nothing makes my heart more full than creating beauty from beautiful things with my two hands.
I've worked with many florists across the Nashville-area, but working with The Florista has been a game-changer. I couldn't be more excited to be a part of the team!

Enneagram 6, Libra: Seeking for equilibrium through intentionality and expression.
My entire life I have found so much fulfillment in helping to create things with my hands that would contribute to something more. As a kid I was constantly in the kitchen helping my mother assemble foraged branches, or scavenging for piles of rosemary and fig leaves to present to my friends. I wanted to be a painter, a sculpture, a cake decorator and so many more paths that circled around making on a consistent basis.
This creative interest later developed into obtaining my BFA in Design Communications here in Nashville, TN. After completing my degree I worked as a freelance graphic designer as well as balanced various service jobs across the Nashville area. I learnt so much about the systems that took place behind the scenes of various industries, and was able to develop life long organizational and operational skills. Throughout those few years, I felt a deep pull to get back to creating and contributing something meaningful through my skills with my hands, just like my childhood self had pictured, and woah does it feel sweet.
I feel like I have been gifted with a perfectly balanced spot within The Florista where I can combine both my creative passions, as well my operational skills. There is so much comfort and amazement found within this team of hard working, FUN women, and I cannot wait to experience all the magic The Florista gets to touch!

Enneagram 9w1, Leo: strong-willed, whole-hearted, and optimistic
I have always had a deep care for things of beauty, and at times wondered why I held such a high value for something that could be misconstrued for vanity. I am a deep thinker, so this possibility always bugged me. That is until I became a florist. The day I became a florist, this tangled up feeling all made a whole lot of sense. The value I had held for beauty all my life finally found its place. This profession holds so much meaning, purpose and joy for me- it is so much more that a job to me.
After leaving my hometown in Michigan, I started my floral career in Northern California. The florists I met out there took a chance on me and I will forever hold a special place in my heart for them. Because of those who made a place for me, I have had the pleasure of working in all aspects of the industry, from weddings to funerals and everything in between. Nothing beats seeing the impact flowers can make in the best of days and in the lowest of nights. I feel so privileged to be on team Florista now and to hold a small place of impact in our client's lives.
